Business Story: Marla Ablon, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist,
by Dawid Furman
Explain your experience and how you use it to help clients.
I have been in private practice since 2006. I meet clients where they’re at, listen to their long and short-term goals, and help guide them towards attainable actions, all the while introducing evidence-based nutrition education. Having lived with an auto-immune disease for the past 15 years, I can relate to living with chronic illness. I know the hard work it takes to get into remission and to come off meds. I take the journey with my clients while focusing on the 6 pillars of Lifestyle Medicine.
What areas do you practice in?
Allergies & Intolerances, Digestive Health, Diabetes, Heart Health, PCOS, Pregnancy & Breastfeeding, Vegan & Vegetarian, Weight Loss, Pediatrics.
What sets you apart from other Registered Dietitians?
I have been vegan for 25 years, plant-based for 10, and live, currently medication free, with a chronic autoimmune disease. Being certified in Lifestyle Medicine allows me to work with clients on exercise, sleep, stress management, and more.
