About

What you can expect over here!

Evidence-based Guidance: Taking the actual science (challenging all the myths) and helping you understand what the research shows and why it’s helpful.

Actionable: Realistic and bite-sized recommendations over time to help you meet your health and nutrition goals. No more overwhelm or blanket recommendations, only steps that make sense for where you are right now.

Compassion: Making changes to support your health is hard. Feel supported in and out of sessions as you imperfectly approach your health journey and overcome everyday obstacles that hold you back from succeeding.

Fun: Food is meant to be enjoyed. Nutrition counselling doesn’t need to be boring. In the most complicated situations, find opportunities to sprinkle colour and joy in your life.

Accessible: Whether it’s providing virtual sessions, group classes, or low-cost or free resources, nutrition education should be available for everyone.

Health professional, mom of three and a lover of the outdoors and sweet treats! Beyond the science of food and nutrition, Courtney is an everyday gal navigating the world of motherhood, working on her relationship with food and body, exploring rural Ontario through hiking and running and enjoying sweet treats after a local library stop.

Ten years as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator. Courtney has worked in small communities in Ontario for most of her career where she has co-led a local diabetes program, worked with mothers and children in the local prenatal and postpartum program, created community garden and food skills workshops and developed programs to increase people’s access to food.

Working one-on-one with individuals and families is a true gift and a privilege. She has worked with well over 400 clients individually and numerous individuals in group settings and knows that food and nutrition are not a one-size-fits-all approach. Many factors impact our food and health decisions and working with people to find joy, confidence and peace as they meet their health goals is the ultimate dream job.

Food and Nutrition is just cool! These are my favourite areas of practice to support you:

Diabetes (prediabetes, type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes)

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding (fertility, pregnancy-related conditions, postpartum support)

Pediatrics (cow’s milk protein allergy, picky eating)

PCOS (insulin resistance, hormone health)

Heart Health (cholesterol support, blood pressure reduction)

Intuitive Eating (relationship with food and body, finding peace and simplicity with food)

Weight-inclusive (no-restrictive diets, acceptance of all bodies)

If something resonates with you, let’s connect and see how I can help you!
