A Letter From Founder Lindsey McGregor:

When I was young, I loved how food connected my family at the dinner table. I loved helping in the kitchen creating new recipes. I would get excited when the latest Canadian Living Magazine would come in the mail with new recipes to try. In 2009, I became a Dietitian after graduating from the University of Alberta and today, I am still just as passionate about food, nutrition, and empowering people to take control of their health. What I love most about the industry is that it’s about people and science - and I am very curious about both. One of the biggest challenges for solo practitioners is finding clients. Additionally, clients aren’t sure where to start in their search for a Dietitian. This is where the idea of the Dietitian Directory was born. Dietitian Directory is exactly what it sounds like - it’s a directory for all Registered Dietitians that makes it easy for people and Dietitians to connect. My business was born from a genuine interest in helping Dietitians in the community. I want to use this resource as a way to help increase the everyday person’s knowledge of what a Dietitian is and what they can do for them. More than that, I care about small entrepreneurs succeeding and giving back to the community. Often, healthy eating is one thing in everyone's circle of control in the journey to be well and live their best lives. I hope the Dietitian Directory can be the bridge for connecting Dietitians and people who are looking to improve their journey with health and nutrition.

Lindsey works as a clinical dietitian in the medicine/intensive care units at a local hospital. She helps improve patient outcomes by providing adequate nutrition, whether patients are in medically-induced comas, post-surgery, or have no appetite due to medical issues. She lives in Calgary and is very obsessed with her dog, Mango Snowberry. Outside of work, she likes to hike, travel, catch up with friends, garden, and decorate. Lindsey envisions the Dietitian Directory to become the largest directory for Registered Dietitians across North America.
