About

Hi, I’m Patrizia Jesue, Founder and Registered Dietitian at Nutrition Counseling Center. I am an expert in the field of eating disorders, body image issues and nutrition counseling. I treat individuals (adult or adolescent) who struggle from anorexia or bulimia, binge eating disorder, emotional, eating, and body image issues. I also work with folks who feel they’ve tried every diet and are ready and motivated to explore the principles of intuitive eating and stop the dieting madness.

I believe nutrition is holistic and does not have a “one size fits all” definition.  I will work together with you in a way that aligns with your recovery goals, which we will come up with collaboratively. These goals will exclude the messages from diet culture, social media, and the rules of your eating disorder. There is no such thing as a good food or a bad food in the world of nutrition.  One test or grade doesn’t define a student’s aptitude, and neither should one food define a person’s health.

We’d be a good fit if you are ready to be an active participant in your recovery and are willing to be challenged and supported.  If you are struggling with food rules that no longer serve you or honor your authentic goals in life, I am the person you want to work with!

In addition to one-on-one nutrition counseling, I provide workshops, support groups, and therapeutic meal support.  As an expert, working with eating disorders for nearly 25 years, I also train and supervise other dietitians who are looking to work with this population or start up a private practice.  I am available to speak to groups both large and small.

Outside of being a dietitian, I spend a lot of our time watching my two sons play baseball.  I enjoy cooking, cleaning (yes, it truly makes me happy!) reading and going out for walks. I am a first-generation Italian, and I attribute much of my comfortable relationship with food to the many positive messages my family instilled in me.  Food was a celebration, and a thing to enjoy, while gathering with family and friends.  Italian food is some of the best in the world!
